So this is a little late this post, but since half term I've just been non-stop trying to get back into the swing of things.
Similar to numerous parents, I'm sure that television adverts are highly attractive to your children, and this holds true for my three kids as well. This is why I chose to book a Eurocamp holiday!
At first, I was amazed by the variety of sites and amenities provided by Eurocamp, which include locations in France, Spain, the Netherlands, and Croatia, to name a few. I've heard very good things about Croatia, so as a passionate traveler, I thought it would be a wonderful destination to spend a week with my children and discover new experiences.
We stayed at Amadria Park Camping, which I will admit I was slightly concerned about after reading some reviews online... However these reviews couldn't have been any further from our experience. The entire site was beautifully kept, and situated on the most stunning beach. I honestly woke up on the first day and was taken aback by how raw in nature and beauty the area was.
My children and I all love the water, whether this be at the beach or in a swimming pool. Amadria Park definitely did not disappoint in this respect. Although the pool was only small and fairly shallow it was perfect for us and what we needed. It was also comforting to know that regardless of what time we wanted to go to the pool there would always be sun loungers available! I've seen some seriously worrying videos lately on social media with people fighting and queuing to get a bed around the pool, this is definitely not a bit of me or what I want to be doing when I've come away to relax! The pool is located right next to the sea, so it is a saltwater pool which I also personally prefer and it was great to be able to pop between the sea and the pool in a matter of steps. I have very restless children, so to be able to go between the beach, pool and two parks was absolutely perfect for us all.
The site has a lovely restaurant which was reasonably priced, and made the most delicious pizzas. Attached to the restaurant is also a cute inside children's area
where they can safely play and get out of the sun for a while. There is also a gaming room as well, with Switch consoles and gaming beanbags which my son absolutely loved! It was really nice to be able to enjoy a meal whilst the children played. We also frequently went here if we just needed a break from the sun for a while as it was nicely covered and air-conditioned.
In terms of our accommodation, we had a three bedroom mobile home which was perfectly suited for us all. I especially loved the outside decking area where we would sit to eat breakfast and dinner. We had a lovely member of staff who had picked our mobile home space for us which was in a quiet, and enclosed area where the children could all play and they weren't near a road and easily within sight.
Having travelled to the Caribbean as a family, around Thailand and most recently to the Maldives I can honestly say this was up there with one of the best holidays I have ever been on. It was super relaxing, there is lots for the children to do, reasonably priced, the people were lovely and oh my gosh, Croatia itself, is just absolutely stunning! We will definitely be back to Croatia, and using Eurocamp again for sure!
I'm going to be doing another blog post shortly, looking at some of local places we went to so if you're considering Croatia as your next holiday destination then have a read! X
